The Ashley Solomon Music Fund

Ashley Elizabeth-Mae Solomon (Helper) was an elementary music educator at Lowrey Middle School in Dearborn, MI from 2014-2017.  Ashley’s passion for life, music, education, and her students was second to none.  Ashley tragically passed away on June 27th, 2017 during childbirth to a beautiful baby boy, Avriham (Avi) Jordan Solomon.

The Ashley Solomon Music Fund has been established to provide consistent and continued financial support for music and musical theatre productions at Lowrey Middle School.  Ashley may no longer be with us physically, but with this fund the spirit of her love of music and education will live on for years to come.

“Ashley had this incredible ability to connect people in spite of their differences. Her warm smile and contagious laughter brought everyone together. She was a friend to everyone and was always willing to give advice or lend a helping hand. Her classroom was a safe place for everyone who entered, and her students adored her every move. I know Ashley’s legacy of love for others and music will be carried on through her students and every life she touched.”

“Ashley had a sparkle about her. It was the extra energy that you couldn’t help but feel when you shared a room with her. She was always the first one who volunteered to help fix a problem, or give a word of encouragement, or a little beacon of advice. She made you feel instantly at ease when you were by her. She never took the credit she deserved for things she worked on.  Instead, she chose to shower it onto other people. She was a fabulous teacher. She was the type of teacher you would try to emulate, as well as the type of teacher you pray that your children get in school.  She loved everyone she came across with her whole heart, but she especially adored Jordan, Avi, and Harvey whom she always spoke of with such excitement.”

Please help us in supporting The Ashley Solomon Music Fund to make sure Ashley’s message of passion and positivity for music and education lives on.
