Contributors to the Dearborn Public Schools Education Foundation include local businesses, corporations, national foundations, and individual citizens–those who believe in the promise of public education, that quality schools are a cornerstone of a vibrant community, and that our children are our future. Whether you are an alumnus, a parent or grandparent, an educator, an administrator, a local business owner, a corporate representative, or a concerned resident, you can make a difference.

At the Dearborn Education Foundation, we bring our community together to inspire, support, and empower Dearborn Public Schools students across academics, the arts, and athletics. Giving to our General Fund is a wonderful way to begin your journey with us. We welcome contributions in any of the following ways.
Please contact us today!

  • Cash Gifts: Check and credit card payments are welcome. These contributions are tax deductible. To donate online, please click the “Donate” button below.
  • Real Estate: A house, personal residence, vacation home, commercial building, or piece of land (income-producing or not) may be donated through your will or estate plan. Real estate can be given as an outright gift, retained life estate, or contribution to a charitable remainder trust.
  • Life Insurance: Naming the Dearborn Public Schools Education Foundation as the owner and beneficiary of an existing or new policy allows contributors to make a future gift to the DPSEF at a relatively low cost.
  • Personal Property: Personal property includes, but is not limited to, art, antiques, collectibles, jewelry, rare books, stamp collections, and coin collections.
  • Bequests: Defined as a specific percentage or your estate; a dollar amount; or an item, bequests can be cash, stocks, bonds, real estate, personal property, or other assets. Naming the DPSEF in your will or trust insures that, upon your death, your chosen assets will be distributed to the DPSEF. During your lifetime, you maintain full ownership and use of your assets. You can stipulate that your bequest be allocated for a specific purpose or be unconstrained.
  • Volunteer: Whether as a board or committee member or event-, special project-, or administrative-volunteer, the Foundation always needs contributors willing to give their time, talents, and skills. “Being good is commendable, but only when it is combined with doing good is it useful.”
